Help bring Christmas joy to children impacted by foster care this holiday season! They are looking for volunteers to join in the parade and help collect toys at our local Walmart locations. Each volunteer shift lasts 3 hours, but you’re welcome to sign up for more than one if you’d like to make an even bigger impact!
Your time and cheerful presence will help share hope and love with families across our community.

Our FBLA Coffee Fundraiser was a HUGE success, and it’s all thanks to our incredible
community! We were blown away by the turnout, the support, and the excitement everyone
brought to The Sader Cup.
Our students worked hard planning, preparing, and serving—and seeing you show up made
every minute worth it. Because of your support, our FBLA members are gaining real-world
experience in leadership, customer service, business operations, and teamwork.

Welcome our new Instructional Technologist Melanie Hansen!
Hello! My name is Melanie Hansen. I’m married to my husband Ben, and we’re expecting our first baby this spring. I grew up moving around Colorado, Arkansas, and Texas due to my father’s ministry work before settling in East Texas and eventually relocating to Magnolia.
I spent several years working as a Data Analytics Developer and Project Manager before pursuing a change that allowed me to focus more on people and connection. I love getting to know others, building relationships, and helping make technology feel less intimidating and more approachable.
Outside of work, I love animals, bicycling, and playing board games. I also love thrifting and collecting antique teacups. Some of my favorites in my collection include one made in occupied Japan shortly after World War II and another from Russia during the USSR, which are both fascinating pieces of history.
My favorite book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes, and Ecclesiastes 11:7 reminds me daily how sweet it is to simply be alive and to behold the light each morning. I’m excited to get to know and serve alongside you all. My door is always open, and I’m always happy to help or just chat.

Great job FBLA!!
What a week it’s been for our FBLA students! While preparing for their Coffee Fundraiser tomorrow (Thursday, 7–8 AM, CCS gym parking lot), they’ve also poured their hearts into serving others.
From making fruit kabobs and delivering snacks to setting up a turkey hunt and visiting with the residents at Dudneywood Assisted Living, they’ve shown responsibility, joy, and kindness in everything they do.

Wednesday November 14, CCS High School Students participated in a live Webinar with UAMS called Find Your Future! Students interested in a profession in Health Care got to experience this amazing opportunity. Our students were among 1100-1200 students participating statewide! They were taught by various medical professionals from various departments in medicine. The students got to dissect a model of a brain along with a doctor who described everything they were seeing and why! We are excited for the amazing things our kids at CCS get to see and do!
